i there! I'm Alicia and I'm so happy you stopped by! Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in San Francisco and when I was eleven, I picked up an old Minolta camera with a 50mm lens and fell in love. I have always been fascinated with photographing people and when I was 18 I wanted a career in photojournalism and always hoped I would be able to work for National Geographic (crazy dream I know!). Well after spending some time walking around San Francisco with my little camera I was hooked! Then my path took a little detour and I was blessed with three beautiful little girls who light up my world everyday!
I am happy to say my dream still lives on, and although I might not be working for National Geographic (for now!) I now have the privilege of meeting beautiful people with amazing love stories and I get to capture the journey to their 'I Do's'! I love seeing happy people in love and capturing all the love, laughter and emotion at every wedding I am privileged to photograph...it makes my job pretty amazing! I would love the chance to meet you for a coffee and talk about your story and your vision for this monumental day!
I approach every wedding with the goal to capture the most important moments and details that make your day so special and unique. I love to create photographs that are unique, heartfelt and timeless. I believe that the people we love throughout our lives shape us along our journey, and those relationships are worth documenting. I am always looking for the shots that represent real raw emotion, unscripted...those moments that when you are looking back at your images later, all you remember is the overwhelming joy and happiness you felt that day.
I feel deeply that the best photos come from a collaboration between you and me, so I strive from the beginning to get to know you, to help you get to know me and try to help you to be comfortable in front of the camera. The hope is that at your wedding, you will feel at ease and your images will be candid, have a narrative and focus not only on the biggest moments but also all the details and the little things happening in between...the whole story. And a little confession...I have been known to cry during vows and first dances...yes, even after doing this for over ten years!
